Have you heard? Cambridge has a music productions company that can do it all, from gig management to physical music distribution! And they’re affordable! Read on…

In 2009, Stabbed Panda formed as a live music promotions company, specializing in alternative rock and indie. The events were always something special and the obvious energy of their promoters quickly helped them build a regular audience. They soon started delving in other areas of the extensive and ram-raided music business, including band management and release promotion in the hope that they could help reignite the spark for live music and local entertainment. Before too long they became established as a fully functional music production company, able to release physical material and send bands out on tours.

Stabbed Panda continued to grow from strength to strength, and are now heavily involved and recognized within the Cambridgeshire arts community. Most recently, the completion of Stabbed Panda’s project studio has meant that they can now provide a varied set of services to the local band scene.

Their current list of services is as follows:

  • Live Event Management - (Small gigs, festival slots and tours)
  • Studio Production - (From demos and albums to song-writing)
  • Band Management - (Performance coaching, PR)
  • Digital Release Aggregation - (Getting bands on iTunes, etc, and what to do then)
  • Digital Promotion - (Radio airplay and interviews)
  • Physical Release Duplication - (Disk printing & tactical sales)
They regularly hold gigs for local and national touring upcoming bands at the Portland Arms on Chesterton Road in Cambridge. We’ve seen bands such as
  • BuryTheLadyBird
  • Hopeless Heroic
  • Lady Gray
- to name a few - manage to turn the 100 person venue limit into a miniature sea of arms and fists, and it’s down to the hard work the Stabbed Panda Productions team put into bringing out the new talent. They have just recruited some people specifically for promotions too, so look out for the shows, and support the local scene!
